Explanation of the Hadeeth of Hudhayfah: ‘Indeed we Used to be in Ignorance and Evil’

This Hadeeth comprises great affairs of Fiqh, as well as the principles and fundamentals of the Sunnah. The guidance of Allah’s Messenger since his being sent (with Prophethood) up until his death, was in confirmation of the principles of this religion, and confirmation of that which is obligatory upon the slaves of Allah in terms of action (i.e., what they must do) and abandonment (i.e. what they must stay away from), such that he left this nation upon clarity which its night is like its day; none deviates from it except one who is destroyed.
