This handbook presents a side-by-side translation of the Arabic text of Hafidh al-Nawawi’s Forty Hadith, which is based upon three manuscripts. One of these manuscripts, which is the primary basis for the Arabic text, has an isnad (chain) to al-Nawawi himself through Hafidh Jamal al-Din al-Mizzi (d. 742H) and Hafidh Zayn al-Din al-Iraqi (d. 806H). Hence, this small handbook which provides a side-by-side translation of the Arabic text, is offered as a dependable and suitable resource for memorisation and revision.
